South - Meeting Room - Full Room

Erim Akpan leads a writing workshop on how to get published in journals, magazines, and other media. Registration required.

Getting published is, essentially, a matter of target marketing. This fun, interactive workshop will give you a basic understanding of how to find the markets that “match” your writing best. Local writer Erim Akpan guides writers through the resources, pitfalls, and legal terminology that can help new writers on the path to publication. Get into the game with short stories, poems, essays, reviews, blog posts, or other “short” compositions to build your portfolio. Registration required.
