“So You Think It’s Your Chance? - Are you Socially, Academically, Financially, and Emotionally (S.A.F.E.) Prepared For College?”

Getting ready for college involves not only choosing the right high school classes and extracurricular activities, but also developing independence, academic readiness, and mental health resiliency skills.

With over 20 years in higher education, 12 years of experience and knowledge in academic, career and college counseling, and over 16 years as an Academic Advisor at UNC Chapel Hill, Mr. Linwood Webster is passionate about meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of youth and young adults. 

This program will discuss topics such as: the college search process, assistance with applications, scholarship and financial aid Q&A, preparing for college and more!

This FREE workshop is appropriate for high school students and their parents.

Bragtown Library Family Literacy Center is a small, 1,000 sq ft neighborhood library founded in 1962 as a branch of the African-American Stanford L. Warren Library to serve Northeast Durham. The library has free WiFi and public computer access with printing and fax services available.
