Join us to learn how you can delve deep into dark dungeons and face challenges to make the bravest hero quake with fear... all without leaving home.
Hail and well met hero! Join your friendly library Dungeon Master to learn some basics of tabletop role playing games, get introduced to the history and core concepts of Dungeons & Dragons, and learn something about how to play (and lead!) your own games from home.
This program does not include any actual Dungeons & Dragons play. Its goals are to demystify RPGs for new players, introduce some of the core concepts and ideas that make up RPGs, give a brief historical overview of D&D, and talk about the kind of D&D we run at the library.
A general Q&A will follow the presentation, with information about Durham County Library's online Dungeons & Dragons programming.
While anyone old enough to read, do simple math, and take turns can play D&D, this class is best for people ages 11 and up.
Registrants will receive Zoom information the day before (and again the day of) the program.
